A trip to Firenze (Florence) in 2011. We hiked in the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci through the beautiful Tuscan forest and into the small town of Fiesole, about 5km northeast of Florence. We stopped for some homemade lunch and Chianti wine at Fattoria di Maiano overlooking their olive groves. Then further on explored the nearby stunning Villa di Maiano. That evening after an amazing meal at the cosy Osteria Vini e Vecchi Sapori, we were delighted with an open air ballet performance at the Piazza della Signoria.
