Mung Beans Porridge (绿豆粥)

  • 1 cup mung beans
  • 1/3 cup jasmine rice
  • 8 cups water
  1. Rinse the rice and mung beans in cold water and place in a saucepan with water.
  2. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer and cook for about 40 minutes until beans and rice have split and form congee-like consistency.
  3. Serve warm.
